Chaoyang district is home to popular neighborhoods like City Center, Chaoyang Park, Sanlitun, Lido, Shaoyaoju, and Wangjing. It’s also home to most foreign embassies, which makes it very attractive for other expats, too. There are 24 subdistricts and 19 townships in Chaoyang to choose from.

The average cost of living in the Chaoyang District is much more affordable than in major US cities like New York and San Francisco. Housing in Chaoyang will be more expensive than housing further away from the heart of Beijing, but commutes in Beijing are difficult.

July offers the most rainfall for the Chaoyang district, and the month typically has the best air quality in Beijing. High temperatures in July are around 80 degrees Fahrenheit, and the lowest average temperatures in January are around 25 degrees Fahrenheit in Chaoyang’s humid climate.
