GeoBlue’s Xplorer Essential plan is best for expatriates who do not plan to return to the United States while living abroad or who are keeping their domestic health insurance plan in the US. The add-on for US coverage with Xplorer Essential is only intended for short trips home.
The Xplorer Essential plan has an unlimited lifetime and annual benefit maximum outside of the United States.
Xplorer Essential has the following deductible options per insured person per year: $0; $1,000; $2,500; $5,000; or $10,000. Selecting a higher deductible will lower premiums. The overall financial benefit of choosing a lower deductible or lower premiums depends on your medical expenses.
Note: The family maximum deductible is 2.5 times the selected deductible for the plan, regardless of the family size.

The Xplorer Premier plan has unlimited annual and lifetime benefits. Benefits outside of the United States and within the United States differ, but amounts paid within and without the United States apply toward your chosen annual deductible requirements.
