Hong Kong Article

A new study in Hong Kong has reported that people who eat foods with soy four to five times a week have a 30 percent less chance of developing chronic conditions and that eating soy beans can help lower a person's weight.

Soy contains a number of molecules that are effective in maintaining good health. These are:

Omega-3 fatty acids

Omega-3 acids are just one of the many special fat components in food that can benefit body functions. Omega-3 acids inhibit blood clotting; they also can help alleviate the pain associated with arthritis and prevent in-vitro inflammation.

Isoflavones

Isoflavones are, among other things, very effective antioxidants. In some cases Isoflavones are effective in lowering cholesterol and fighting cancer. For women, evidence suggests that eating foods containing Isoflavones can help promote fertility as the molecule induces increased estrogen levels.

Soy beans and food containing soy can also help reduce cholesterol. In 1995 a study in the USA showed that eating soy could lower a person's cholesterol level and promote a healthy heart. So all in all, eating soy can be healthy for you, especially if you are looking to loose some weight and have a healthier diet.

Pacific Prime can offer health insurance plans with Worldwide medical coverage, enabling policyholders access to medical treatments around the world, including Lebanon and Australia.

There are different levels of Worldwide cover. International health insurance plans will usually give policy holders the option to include or exclude various geographic regions of medical cover. This is due to the varying health costs around the world, such as the United States of America. For example, policy holders who do not visit the USA will normally opt for a health insurance plan with worldwide cover, excluding the USA.

Premiums are generally calculated by two main factors: the age of the members listed on the health insurance policy, and the geographic location of residence. Other factors that will impact your premium will include any added extra benefits, such as maternity cover or comprehensive outpatient cover.

As of January 2006 the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has had a scheme mandating health insurance coverage for foreign nationals who are legally residing and working in the country in the private sector (non-government). Partly in an attempt to encourage additional participation in the Kingdom’s private healthcare system, and partly to prevent abuse of the public facilities afforded to Saudi nationals, all resident expatriates in Saudi Arabia must have some form of comprehensive health insurance policy from an approved cooperative health insurance company in KSA.
