Is it possible to get an insurance that covers only Medical Evacuation

Question:
Hi, I am looking for an emergency medical evacuation possibility for our future employees in Malawi. Is it possible to get an insurance that covers only for emergency evacuation? Our existing insurances cover all the other things that are needed. Thank you for your help! Kind regards, Jenni Töyli HR Coordinator Finnish Evangelical Lutheran Mission Tähtitorninkatu 18, PL 154 00141 Helsinki Finland puh. +35820 7127 430

Answer:

In areas such as Africa where the overall standard of hospitals is quite low, it is essential to have coverage not only for hospitalization, but also emergency evacuation. As we specialize in Medical Insurance, all of the insurers we work with will offer Medical Insurance as a base, with the option to add Evacuation, if it is not already included as a standard benefit. This means that if you are ill or injured and the closest facility is not of the required standard, then you will be evacuated to an area of a higher medical standard, whether that be locally or internationally, and also covered for the subsequent treatment at the other end.
