Policies which we can offer will allow you the freedom to use the hospital or doctor of your choice anywhere in the world. In addition to this, plans that we offered are internationally portable and guaranteed renewable for life. It is important to note that a maternity insurance benefit will typically be attached to a waiting period. The shortest waiting period for maternity benefits under an international health insurance policy is 10 months from the start of the plan. This means that a policyholder will not be covered for any maternity related medical treatment received prior to the completion of the waiting period, and only treatment received after will be covered. However, many international health insurance policies which offer maternity coverage will typically afford you a New Born Child coverage benefit. This coverage will usually have a waiting period of only 6 months from the start of a plan, and afford you peace-of-mind that should your new born child suffer from complications at birth, they will have the protection that they need. New born coverage will typically be offered in one of two ways. Either the child is "born into the plan", in which case they are guaranteed continual coverage no matter what the state of their health at birth, or they will be given a free benefit (coverage) up to a predetermined time, or financial limit. It is important to note that should your child be born into the plan, the premiums associated with that policy will increase. A free benefit does not impact a policy's premiums, but you will need to make an application to the insurer for continuing coverage. International health insurance maternity plans will afford you a wide range of benefits and give you the security that your family will be protected from harm.
