Do I have to have Medicare part be to have your insurance
Question: Do I have to have Medicare part be to have your insurance?
Answer: The plans offered and advised upon by Pacific Prime will typically be guaranteed renewable for life, internationally portable, and often allow you to customize the coverage to meet your specific needs. The global health insurance policies which we are able to provide will afford you much higher levels of coverage than are typically associated with the public healthcare programs offered by many governments around the world (such as Medicare or Medicaid). Pre-enrollment in such programs is unnecessary with the international health insurance options offered by Pacific Prime.
There are a number of differences between the global health insurance options offered by Pacific Prime and the local coverage you are able to receive in a single country. In many cases a local health insurance plan may not be the best option for a modern expatriate. This is due to the fact that local health insurance will only provide coverage in a single country, and as many modern expatriates will live in countries where the healthcare system is not up to American or European standards it is likely that they will have to repatriate back to their home nation, or go to a third country, to receive adequate medical treatment. In this case a local health insurance policy will not provide the necessary protection.
International health insurance is not tied to a single country and will allow you to use the doctor or hospital of your choice, anywhere in the world. This is in stark contrast to local healthcare programs, such as Medicare, which typically have a very limited network of healthcare providers with whom a policyholder is allowed to receive treatment. In addition to this local insurance plans will often have maximum age limits (usually 65 years), after which no further renewal of the plan is possible. International plans are normally renewable for life, giving you the security that should you suffer from a serious illness or accident, you will still have the protection that you require.
Finally, local medical insurance plan renewal premiums are normally based on the previous years claims. As such the more you claim the higher the renewal premium. An international plan is normally community rated; this means that your renewal premium is based on policyholders worldwide on the same plan as you. This is very important and ensures that your premiums are manageable even if you are very ill. The principal advantage of a local medical plan is that they can be cheaper than an international plan (although this is not always the case). This is of course attractive but most expats still choose to buy an international plan because the advantages are overwhelming and they can have peace of mind that their family is protected against any eventuality.
