SimpleCare is an insurance coverage option to help expats save on premiums. SimpleCare plans do not provide elective coverage in the United States. SimpleCare has Core, 100, and 250 options, as well as some flexibility within those tiers.

Groups of 10 or more people and companies with compulsory health insurance plans have more plan flexibility to include coverage like routine maternity care and pre-existing conditions with the SimpleCare plans.

Please note that the SimpleCare plans are not available to residents with visas in Dubai or Abu Dhabi of the United Arab Emirates.

The following table compares the coverage available in each of the three Simple Care coverage tiers.

SimpleCare Core

SimpleCare Core provides insurance coverage for sudden, unexpected hospitalizations, surgeries, or cancer treatment to help expats stay protected from major expenses while saving on premiums. Simple Care Core is not designed to cover outpatient expenses like consultations and specialist fees.

No routine maternity coverage or dental coverage is available with the SimpleCare Core plan, so consider the SimpleCare 100 or SimpleCare 250 for a little more coverage or one of the WorldCare plans for more comprehensive coverage.

SimpleCare 100

SimpleCare 100 provides coverage for in-patient care, surgeries, and cancer treatments. This plan also includes some outpatient medical expense coverage to pay for consultations and specialist fees. Expats can choose to pay a co-pay (per visit excess) to get lower premiums.

Routine and complex dental care is not covered with the SimpleCare 100 plan. Routine maternity coverage is unavailable for individuals and families, but groups of 10 or more people or companies with compulsory insurance can opt for routine maternity coverage.

SimpleCare 250

SimpleCare 250 covers inpatient stays, surgeries, outpatient consultations, specialist fees, and routine and complex dental treatment. Expats can choose to pay a co-pay (per visit excess) to reduce premiums.

Maternity care is unavailable to individuals and families with the SimpleCare 250 plan, but groups of 10 or more people and companies with compulsory health insurance can opt for routine maternity coverage with this plan.

There is no routine maternity add-on option for individuals, families, groups, or company policies with the Essential coverage tier.

Please note that the WorldCare Essential plan is not available to expats with a resident visa in Dubai or Abu Dhabi of the UAE. For coverage in those Emirates, consider the other WorldCare plans.

WorldCare Advance

WorldCare Advance through Now Health offers more coverage than the Essential plan including more for out-patient practitioner fees and an annual benefit limit of USD $3.5 million. Dental coverage with WorldCare Advance is an optional add-on.

WorldCare Advance also allows you to select a co-pay (per visit excess) to lower premiums.

There is no maternity coverage for individuals and families with the WorldCare Advance tier, but groups of ten or more people and companies with compulsory insurance may choose routine maternity care as an optional add-on.

WorldCare Excel

WorldCare Excel has an annual benefit limit of USD $4 million and more rehabilitation coverage than WorldCare Essential or Advance. Routine and complex dental coverage is included with this plan. Routine maternity coverage is not available for individuals and families.

Groups of ten or more people and companies with compulsory health insurance may choose to add routine maternity care to their WorldCare Excel plan.

Expats can save some money on premiums with WorldCare Excel by choosing to pay a co-pay (per visit excess) with visits.

WorldCare Apex

Now Health’s WorldCare Apex plan is the most comprehensive health insurance plan, and it has an annual benefit limit of USD $4.5 million. Routine dental and maternity care are included in the plan. Expats can save a little on premiums by selecting a co-pay (per visit excess) with this plan.
