Creating Your Cigna International Insurance Plan
Expats create their Cigna international health insurance plan by selecting their plan type, location of coverage, optional additional benefits, deductible and coinsurance values, and when they pay their premiums.
These are explained in further detail below, and this page delves deeply into your options for each step along the way.
- First, expats must choose the Silver, Gold, Platinum, or Close Care health insurance plan. The benefit limits for each are listed below.
- Second, expats select if they’d like coverage worldwide including the US or excluding the US. They can also choose to only receive coverage in their country of residence through the Close Care plan.
- Third, expats decide to add any of the additional Cigna benefit modules they would like. These include outpatient, evacuation, health & well-being, and vision & dental coverage.
- Fourth, expats decide the value of the deductible and coinsurance they are willing to pay. To answer your questions about how the deductible and coinsurance affect your premium value, reach out to our health insurance experts.
- Fifth, expats select how often they pay their premium, be it monthly, quarterly, or annually. Paying quarterly gives you a 3% discount, and paying annually gives you a 10% discount on your premium.
