Insurers will reimburse for out-patient and dental treatment. Direct settlement may be available in some cases. However, most of the time the initial cost is usually paid upfront by the policyholder.
Out-patient claims are made by submitting a claims form after receiving treatment. Forms will usually need to be submitted within three months and should include a doctor's signature. Claims can normally be processed fairly quickly. Make sure you have completed forms as this can slow down the process.
