Announcing Pacific Prime's Scholarship Program – 2018. This scholarship has been designed to help high school and undergraduate students offset the ever increasing cost of education.

About Pacific Prime's 2018 scholarship program

At Pacific Prime, we believe that education is a right, not a privilege. It should be available to everyone. In order to support this belief, we have designed our scholarship to help offset some of the costs associated with education for a deserving applicant.

Now in its second year, the Pacific Prime scholarship - available to high school and undergraduate students studying in the Asia Pacific region - offers a USD 1,000 bursary to an outstanding and noteworthy student.

How to participate

In order to be considered for our 2018 scholarship, simply submit an essay on the following topic:

The effects of aging population on health care

Essay submissions should be no shorter than 1,000 words and should contain your own thoughts and opinions, along with references where possible. Feel free to be as creative as you want!

Also, the winning essay will be published on our website, so your essay must be your own work. Plagiarism will result in your entry being rejected.

Eligibility Criteria

High school and undergraduate students

This year, the scholarship program is open to high school and undergraduate students of any nationality or age in the Asia Pacific Region.

In order to be considered eligible, you must currently be enrolled (full time or part time), or have been accepted, to a high school, university, community college, institute (including private education institutions), or trade school for the upcoming semester.

Proof of enrollment will be required should you be awarded this scholarship.

All essays must be written in English.

Submission deadline

30th September 2018

Applications for the 2018 scholarship must be received no later than Sep 30, 2018 (no exceptions).

The recipient of this year’s scholarship will be announced on Nov 1, 2018. If the bursary is not claimed within 30 days, we will select another recipient. The scholarship recipient will be presented with the award at our office, or will receive the award via mail if they are not able to collect in person.

Note: This is a yearly scholarship and we’ll have different topics each year for participation.

Applications for the 2018 scholarship are now open. In order to submit an essay...:

Write a creative, original, and informative essay on the above mentioned topic.

Submit your essay to [email protected] in MS Word or PDF format.

Please include the following information:

First & last name, contact number, and email address.
University, Secondary / High School, or International School you currently attend (or have been accepted to).

Please note: you will be asked to provide proof of student documents if you are selected to receive this scholarship.

Eligibility criteria:

In order to be considered an eligible applicant, your essay must:

Be at least 1,000 words
Be an original work - All submitted entries will go through a strict round of checks to ensure zero plagiarism. In essence, your essay must be original and all work must be work done by the applicant. Honesty in all submissions is imperative. Demonstrating passion and creativity will aid your chances of being awarded the scholarship.
Be submitted by 30th Sep 2018 - No late entries will be accepted.
Be submitted by a currently enrolled (full time or part time), or accepted, high school student or undergraduate student at a university, community college, institute (including private education institutions) or trade school. Any faculty is excepted.
Be written in English.

By participating, you are giving your consent for Pacific Prime to contact you via mail, email and/or telephone call. In addition, if you are selected as the recipient of this scholarship, you are giving us your express consent to use your name, college or school, and your essay on our website, as well as for any other promotional purposes, without further compensation or payment to you. The scholarship awardee is responsible for payment of any applicable income taxes in their own respective country due to the receipt of the scholarship.

Pacific Prime reserves the right to reject incomplete applications or plagiarised applications.
Pacific Prime reserves the right to reject all applications not submitted in English.
Pacific Prime reserves the right to publish the entries received on any platform(s).
The result is decided solely by the panel of Pacific Prime’s scholarship committee.
There are no restrictions placed on the recipient regarding holding other scholarships.
If the scholarship recipient decides to withdraw from their course and/or terminate the scholarship prematurely, Pacific Prime reserves the right to impose repayment of all scholarship monies disbursed, as well as any other damages that may be incurred.
