I am going on holiday for 17 days and will be 29 weeks pregnant when I go, do you have a policy that will cover me in case the child is born early, and if that did happen will the child be covered on my policy | ||
Question: Hi, thanks for your enquiry. Under the IHI-Bupa policy you are covered
up to the 8th month (36th week) for any unforseen
complications (including delivery) as long as the pregnancy is stable, and
therefore the birth unexpected. However, if you are expecting more than one child, or, the pregnancy is
as a result of fertility treatment, then the limit for cover is the 4th
month (18th week) The IHI plan is by far the most comprehensive on the market, with unlimited cover financially plus Hospitalization and Outpatient treatment (trip to the Doctor etc) covered. Emergency evacuation is also built in as a standard benefit with and there is also an optional Travel Plan that covers loss of luggage, passport etc along with optional cover for trip cancelation. |
