    • Euro-Center is a claim handling organization with a large network of over 50,000 hospitals and medical clinics that offer high quality health care and direct billing services.
    • As a partner of Nordic Health Care, NHC policy holders have access to Euro-Center's services including their network of hospitals, direct billing and claims handling services.
    • Euro-Center can offer NHC policy holders assistance with making a claim, over the phone or at one of their office locations (an office is located in every continent worldwide).
    • Euro-Centre offers local assistance, worldwide. Euro-Center can also offer a range of services relating to medical emergency, locating a hospital or doctor, organize evacuation, translation, travel health and other issues.

  • Which Hospitals and Medical Clinics are accepted by NHC?

    • Euro-Center
    • As a partner of Euro-Center, Nordic Health Care has access to direct billing services at over 50,000 hospitals and medical clinics as registered under Euro-Center's network providers.
    • NHC policy holders should attend hospitals and medical clinics listed under the Euro-Center network to receive direct billing services and quality health care.
    • With direct billing, the hospital bill is directly paid between the insurer and hospital. Policy holder does not need to pay for medical treatment or process a claim.
    • Direct billing services can also be arranged with hospitals outside the Euro-Center Hospital network. If direct billing is not possible, the policy holder will need to pay for their medical bill and submit a claim form.
    • Policy holders can contact NHC Customer Support Line to confirm their limits on medical treatment, or any other question relating to their health insurance policy.

  • Claim for Hospital Treatment

    • Pre-authorisation
    • All hospital treatment will require pre-authorisation.
    • If you need hospital treatment, policy holder must contact Nordic Health Care to organise pre-authorisation of medical treatment, prior to hospital admission.
    • A claim form will be completed by both the policy holder and treating doctor. Policy holder should attach any medical documentation requested, such as medical reports. After the completed claim form is submitted to Nordic Health Care, a decision will be made on claim.
    • In the case of an emergency, policy holder should go directly to the hospital and contact Nordic Health Care as soon as possible, or have a representative call on behalf of them.

    • Guarantee of treatment
    • After treatment has been authorized by Nordic Health Care, a guarantee of treatment will be issued.
    • Nordic Health Care will notify the policy holder if any further documentation is requested, or if the claim has been denied.
  • Claim for Emergency Treatment

    • In the case of an emergency, policy holder should go directly to the hospital to receive treatment and contact Nordic Health Care as soon as possible, or have a representative call on behalf of them.
    • The policy holder must contact Nordic Health Care to advise of hospital admission and required treatment.

    • Pre-authorisation
    • Pre-authorisation will be organised by Nordic Health Care and the treating hospital. The hospital will issue medical information as requested by Nordic Health Care.
    • After treatment has been authorised, a guarantee of treatment will be issued by Nordic Health Care.
    • The Hospital will arrange direct billing of hospital treatments. Policy holder does not need to make a claim.
    • If direct billing is not possible (such as outside the Euro-Center network), policy holder will need to pay for medical treatments and submit a claim form.
  • Claim for Outpatient Treatment

    • Eg. Doctor consultation, X-rays, prescription medications, vaccinations, day surgery etc.
    • Policy holder pays for outpatient treatment and submits a claim form to receive reimbursement.
  • How to submit a Claim Form with Nordic Health Care

    • Claim forms can be downloaded from the Nordic Health Care website.
    • Claims can be submitted online (NHC website), or they can be posted, emailed, or faxed to Nordic Health Care.
    • Claims can be mailed to the Copenhagen head office or the closest Euro-Center to be processed.

    • All requested medical invoices and medical documentation must be enclosed.
    • If the medical bill exceeds USD$1000 then an original copy of the medical invoice or medical document may be requested by Nordic Health Care.
    • Nordic Health Care may call the policy holder to request further information or documentation.
  • How to Claim Online

    • Policy holders can visit the Nordic Health Care website and complete the online claim form.
    • Policy holders can scan medical bills or any other information requested and attach to the online claim form.
    • If the medical bill exceeds USD$1000 then an original copy of the receipt or document may be requested by Nordic Health Care.
    • Nordic Health Care may call the policy holder to request further information or documentation.
  • If you have a Deductible

    • If the policy holder has selected a deductible option, the deductible amount must be paid prior to reimbursement of medical expenses under the plan.
