Why You Should Always Buy From an Insurance Broker
When securing an insurance policy, there are two ways to do it: through an agent or through a broker like Pacific Prime. Whilst both can get you an insurance plan, you should always go with a broker because you are presented with more options from different companies that fit your needs and budget.
Here are a few key points where brokers and agents differ:
Who They Represent
One of the biggest differences between an agent and broker is who they represent. An agent typically represents an insurance company or a specific insurance policy under an insurance company whereas a broker represents you.
What this means is that whilst both will provide you with different insurance options, a broker will put your needs above the needs of the insurance company, ensuring that the options you are given fits your specifications and your budget range.
Options Available
As mentioned earlier, an agent typically represents an insurance company or a specific insurance policy provided by an insurance company. As such, when you go through an agent to secure an insurance policy, the options you are presented with are limited to one specific company.
On the other hand, when you go through a broker, the options you are provided with will come from a number of different companies that the broker is partnered with.
What this means to you is that when you go through an agent, you may be presented with selections that are right for you from one specific company but going through a broker gives you a more diverse selection of policies that fits your needs and budget range.
Their Goal
The goal of an agent is to ultimately get you to secure an insurance policy from the insurance company they represent. The goal of a broker is to help you secure an insurance policy that best suits you whilst staying within your budget range.

As one of Thailand’s most reputable insurance providers, LMG Insurance is a great choice for expats and travelers securing a health insurance plan. Their quality service and financial stability make them a popular choice among foreigners in Thailand.
For those applying for a Thailand non-immigrant VISA O-A (Long Stay), the company’s Long Stay VISA plans offer absolute convenience with deductible options to control premium costs.
