On your expat medical insurance policy document, four important pieces of information can be found which help you to understand your coverage.

Who is covered?

The expat medical insurance policy will cover the policy holder. This is the person whose name appears on the policy documents. The insured can have dependants whose names will also appear in the policy conditions.

Where are you covered?

The area of coverage will be specified in the policy conditions. This may be ‘worldwide' or ‘worldwide excluding the USA ' or otherwise stated in your policy document.

What is covered?

Your cover is outlined in the Table of Benefits and will include, waiting periods (if any), exclusions, in-patient and out-patient benefits and any other additional cover requested by the policy holder.

When is the coverage?

The commencement date and duration of the expat medical insurance plan will be listed in the policy conditions.
