ExclusionsAll medical insurance foreign policies contain exclusions and these will vary from insurer to insurer. It is therefore important to check with the insurance representative to ensure there are no misunderstandings regarding cover.
The most important exclusions however are pre-existing chronic conditions which the client has suffered or had treatment for prior to taking out the policy.
Below is a list of treatments which most commonly appear in the exclusion section in the medical insurance foreign policy conditions and clients will not be covered for unless previously agreed by the insurance company.

| All of the in-patient plans offered by Pacific Prime will
provide cover for medically necessary surgical procedures. In most cases, while
surgical procedures like Cataract removal may not require an overnight stay in
a hospital, these types of treatments will usually be covered through the
in-patient portion of the plan. We can also provide policies which offer
benefits for visual aids, such as glasses and contact lenses. Coverage for this
type of benefit is usually obtainable in addition to the purchase of an in-patient
policy. 2011-01-05 11:06:18 |
