Nordic Health Care Company History

1880 Munich Re (Münchener Rückversicherungs-Gesellschaft) is founded. Today, Munich Re is the largest reinsurer worldwide. 1921 Europæiske Rejseforsikring is founded and Nordic Health Care is created, a health insurance brand of Europæiske Rejseforsikring. Europæiske Rejseforsikring is part of ERGO, the insurance division of Munich Re. It is the first travel insurance provider in Denmark and continues to be the largest provider today. Nordic Health Care offers health insurance to expatriates and travelers worldwide. 1971 Euro-Center is founded, a worldwide alarm center based in Denmark. Later, Europæiske Rejseforsikring will partner with Euro-Center to provide a large range of medical, claims handling and security assistance services. 2011 Today, Nordic Health Care has a worldwide customer base. NHC offers international health insurance plans under the product name NHC Global Private and NHC Global Corporate. Local health insurance plans are also available through NHC Spain, NHC Middle East and NHC Swiss.
